NORTH SALT LAKE —  Solar energy panels will bring 19,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity to Spectrum Academy each year, thanks to funding from Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky renewable energy program.

Forty panels were attached to the charter school’s roof and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 29.

More than 30,000 Rocky Mountain customers donate a small amount each month to the Blue Sky program, which funds community-based projects such as the solar panels at Spectrum.
