FARMINGTON — Interested parents can learn more about math instruction in Davis County junior high and high schools in a series of informational meetings over the next two weeks.

Carnegie Learning materials were selected by Davis School District to meet the new Common Core requirements.

They were used in seventh- and eighth-grade math classes last year and will be introduced to ninth- and tenth-grade classes in the district this year.

According to a press release from the school district, parents who attend the sessions will learn how to access various resources from the Carnegie Learning program to help their students.

The informational meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Clearfield High School; Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Woods Cross High; Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Layton High and Thursday, Aug. 15 at Northridge High.

All sessions begin at 7 p.m.
