Though college degrees were once thought to impart enough knowledge to last a person’s entire professional career, these days information changes fast enough that it’s nearly impossible for anyone to stay completely current. According to author Gary C. Robinson, the biggest responsibility for businesses now is finding ways to help their employees constantly stay on top of things.
“The responsibility for learning is shifting from companies to individuals,” he said. “If businesses aren’t providing resources for their employees to learn, they’re probably learning from someone else.”
