Kent Galloway died Sunday, December 1, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon, with his family by his side, as a result of a stroke.
Kent was born in Preston, Idaho, August 9, 1946, to Harold and Orilla Galloway. Kent moved to Kaysville and graduated from Davis High School. He married Janet Hintz in the LDS Salt Lake Temple and they were the parents of four children: Tonya, twins Karina and Kristina and son, Alex. They moved to and raised their family in Salem, Oregon.
Kent was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, four children and twelve grandchildren, two brothers, Berk Galloway and LaVel Galloway and two sisters, Elizabeth Green and Valeen Thomassen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Salem, Oregon and a graveside on Friday, at noon December 6, 2013 in Dayton, Idaho where he will be buried along side his parents and two sisters.
The family would like to give special thanks to Kent’s long time close friend, Bishop Lynn Galbraith, who mentored, advised and listened to him for many years.
