NORTH SALT LAKE “Du or Du not, there is no Tri!”

That is the motto for this year’s fourth annual Legacy Duathlon, taking place on Saturday, April 13 at the Legacy Parkway Trail.

The duathlon, including one biking and two running sections, will take place on the Legacy Parkway Trail. The trail will go around areas such as Bountiful Lake and the Jordan River, among several other Davis County points.

On Hill Events, which is hosting the event, is looking for athletes while there are still openings available.

Early registration has already passed; however, those who still want to compete in the event will be allowed to register until today,  April 11.

Registration fees are as follows: short (1.55-mile run, 11.2-mile bike, 1.55-mile run) and long (3.1-mile run, 22.4-mile bike, 3.1-mile run). The duathlon participation fee is $50. The bike course only is $40, and a relay duathlon of two to three racers is $85.

After April 11, the fees increase to $55, $45 and $90, respectively.

Registration fees range from $3.19 to $5.67 online.
