Editor:

The Bill of Rights is not the source for a U.S. citizens’ rights, because rights come from God, not from man. God does not take them away, but man can, when he feels powerful enough. Notice how Pres. Obama uses Executive Orders (which are not even mentioned in the US Constitution!) to get his way.

The Bill of Rights came after the U.S. Constitution was written, and was not even needed per Hamilton in Federalist Papers No. 84, “ ... bills of rights ... are not only unnecessary ... but would even be dangerous. They would contain various exceptions to powers which are not granted ... .”

Further on, regarding regulating power, he said, “... it would furnish, to men disposed to usurp, a plausible pretense for claiming that power.” How prophetic!

Government continues to make unconstitutional acts, because they can continue to get away with it (It is a great way to get votes and cause people to become dependent upon government). We must legally contest such acts, even to the Supreme Court!

Sincerely,

Don Olson
