Another opportunity has been created for our government to dictate to the people on how to run their private lives.
First off, I want you to know that I am a heterosexual male that has been married for over 50 years. The good Lord has created us all in his image, but throughout our lives he has placed obstacles such as premature births, birth defects, and terminal diseases on us and our offspring but we didn’t ask our government to tell us how to correct the problem.
Listen, I don’t know why God created people of the same sex that are attracted to one another but he did! These folks are born that way and nothing will change the way they feel. (Who are we to judge?)
The Bible states, judge not lest thou be judged, love thy brother and sister as thyself with no exception, and treat others as you would have them treat you.
Therefore, Mister Governor, I just want you and your colleagues to understand that you folks will have to answer to the higher power eventually for your decisions.
Please stop and think about this: We all have our differences and the sad thing is some people look down their noses if someone is different than them or not up to their liking (Sad, isn’t it?). God said live and let live and I pity those who put themselves above God.
As I see it, you and your supposedly God-fearing friends have destroyed at least a thousand human beings’ lives because of your holier than thou attitudes and the decisions you’ve made. I hope you folks feel justified, especially when it really isn’t any of your business!
Everyone is constantly talking about Armageddon and the end of time, so maybe this is God’s way of depleting the masses before actually ending the world as we see it.
Our government needs to concentrate on how to stop the bickering in Washington and save what’s left of our great nation. Let people run their lives. For the people, and by the people. That’s what our Constitution reads and it doesn’t refer to straight or gay couples.
