The meet, which has been held annually for many years, will kick off Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
Bountiful, Viewmont and Woods Cross are all having strong seasons as each team prepares to head into the Region finals.
Viewmont, whose boys’ team won a Region 2 crown last season, is led by many strong swimmers making a return to the pool.
In the 200 meter freestyle, both Daniel Avery and Madi Ramos are expected to finish at or near the podium during competition, with Alexis Ralph expected to swim well in the 200 individual medley.
Mikelle Rapp and Daulton Swan, swimming in the 100 freestyle and 100 fly, respectively, have done well and are also expected to have a strong showing for the Vikings, said head coach Steve Doman.
Twin sisters Mariah and McKenna Gasaway are also strong swimmers for the Vikings. Both will swim in the 100 meter breaststroke.
For Woods Cross, Mitch Hawley, Thomas Shevidan and Gabriella Beard are all on the lookout from the other coaches in the competition.
Hawley will be swimming the 500 freestyle and Shevidan and Beard will each swim the 100 backstroke.
As far as the relay events go, Doman said it’s “pretty much anybody’s race.”
“All the relay events will be close calls,” he said. “Anybody could win those.”
