LAYTON — Police arrested a 20-year-old man Monday in connection with threats made against customers at the Layton Hills Mall on Sunday.
William Meyer was taken into custody Monday afternoon at a Layton residence. He was booked into the Davis County Jail on charges of making a terroristic threat and on an outstanding warrant, according to a Layton police press release.
Meyer allegedly posted threats on his Facebook account that he would stab shoppers at random, Layton Police Lt. Shawn Horton said Tuesday morning.
Meyer was interviewed by detectives and told them he was sorry for what he did and recognized his fault, Horton said.
