KAYSVILLE — Plans are moving ahead, though slowly, for a commercial development at 200 North and Flint Street on Kaysville’s west side.

“Progress is taking a little longer,” said Stuart Adams, a partner in the Adams Company and a state senator representing Layton, “but we hope we’ll have something to report shortly.”

In January, the Kaysville City Council entered into an agreement with Terra Basin, a limited liability company of the Adams Company, to purchase and develop the 15-acre property.

Terra Basin was given until Aug. 15 to determine the feasibility of the project, with an option of a 90-day extension. A 30-day extension was filed, extending the date to Sept. 15.

“It’s going to be a real positive,” said Adams. “We can do something that will be very, very complimentary to the community.”
