KAYSVILLE – The new Kaysville Library awaits green light as new soil study continues.
“There were some unresolved questions that popped up after the analysis of the building site after bids were received,” said County Clerk/Auditor Chief Deputy/Finance Curtis Koch.
Construction on the 16,000 square-foot building at the city’s central Heritage Park is due to start late this spring or in early summer, said County Planning Director Barry Burton.
Completion could be by next April or May.
He said nine bids were received, all close to the $3.6 million range.
Total project cost, with furnishings, is estimated at about $4 million.
