LAYTON — Northridge High School student Camille A. Wasden was one of two presidential scholars for the state of Utah.

Scholars are students who score exceptionally high on SAT and ACT tests as well as keep high grades and are leaders in school organizations. However, scholars also excel outside of academics. Wasden has performed in many musicals as well. She has been invited, along with her most influential teacher, to visit Washington D.C. in June. Wasden chose NHS math teacher Larry Peterson to go.

Wasden is planning to go to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and major in chemical engineering.
