FARMINGTON — A nurse who worked at Primary Children’s Hospital was charged with seven counts of forging prescriptions on Monday, after a Kaysville pharmacist became suspicious and called police.
Camille Hyatt, 33, of Layton, was booked into the Davis County Jail on the third-degree felony counts of making a false prescription, according to Davis Metro Narcotics Strike Force Lt. Mark Chatlin.
A pharmacist at the Kaysville Walgreens became suspicious, Chatlin said. For several months officers tracked prescriptions allegedly forged by Hyatt and found several more at pharmacies in Kaysville and Layton. The prescriptions were for oxycodone and Valium.
Police believe she stole the prescription pad from her place of business.
A spokesperson at Primary Children’s Medical Center confirmed that Hyatt has been employed at the hospital, but could not say whether she still is, or how long Hyatt may have been employed there.
