PEOPLE/PLACES - Snoopy comes to Clearfield Theatre

CLEARFIELD -- Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Peppermint Patty and the rest of the gang from "Peanuts" will gather to present 'Snoopy" at the Bicentennial Park Amphitheater from Aug. 11-13 and on Aug. 15.

The Clearfield Community Theatre will put on the shows, which will begin each night at 7:30 p.m. at 650 South 800 East. The play is based on Charles M. Schulz's comic strip "Peanuts." Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for those 60 and older and 12 and younger. Tickets are available at the door or at Clearfield Community Services, 55 South State Street. USU gardening series to continue

KAYSVILLE -- The Utah State University Extension and Utah Botanical Center will continue their Saturday Morning Gardening Series on Aug. 13 with a "garden art" class.

Participants will learn how to make leaf castings, bird baths, hypertufa troughs, bowls, planters, mushrooms and face sculptures.

Classes are held at the Utah House Classroom at 920 South 50 West in Kaysville.

Due to limited seating, pre-registration for the classes is required. Those interested in attending the classes may register by calling 801-451-3403.

Each class is $5. A question-and-answer session will be held after each class from 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m.



Art Access eager to fund disabled

SALT LAKE CITY-- Art Access/VSA Arts of Utah is accepting applications for Artist in-Residencies in organizations serving adults with disabilities and/or seniors.

Funding varies between $200 and $1,500. Fall dinner theatre coming soon

FARMINGTON -- Farmington is inviting all comers to enjoy a dinner and watch theatre come alive with the dinner theatre production of "Moon Over Buffalo."

Performances are Oct. 13-15 at the Community Center, 120 S. Main. Ticket prices are $12 per person and can be purchased at Leisure Services. Seats may be reserved by calling 451-0953.



Evening with the Arts to be held

FARMINGTON -- Evening with the Arts will be Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Community Center. A $3 charge is suggested.
