CLINTON -- The Davis School District welcomed its newest elementary school into the district family Thursday night with a ribbon cutting and open house at Parkside Elementary School. The school was built because of a need due to growth in the northern part of the Davis School District. Hundreds of people turned out for the event to not only catch a glimpse of the new school, but also to meet Principal Roy Warren, members of the school staff, including teachers and PTA representatives. The school, located at 2262 N. 1500 West, Clinton, sits on 10-acres of land and is the result of not only growth in the area, but also the 2002 Building Improvement and Construction Bond. that voters approved by 89.6 percent. Clinton Mayor Mitch Adams was in attendance for the ribbon cutting.
