First reponders from the Davis County Sheriff’s office and South Davis Metro Fire Agency salute the flag-drapped coffin of L. Niles Stahle Sr. as it is carried prior to interment in the Bountiful Cemetery. Stahle worked in law enforcement from 1959, when he was with Bountiful Police, until 2005, when he worked with the sheriff’s office. He also served as the first Woods Cross Police Chief and was assistant fire chief at South Davis Fire District. The service at the cemetery included a 21-gun salute, a musical tribute of taps and the music of bagpipes.
