LAYTON — Police have a “person of interest” they believe to have been involved in a threat made at the Layton Hills Mall Sunday evening, but they haven’t been able to communicate with him yet.
Layton Police were called to the mall a little before 6 p.m. about a threat to shoppers, according to Layton Police Sgt. Rod Dixon. Police are not releasing specific details of the threat at this time. However, they don’t believe the suspect was in the mall at the time of the threat.
Officers from Layton, the Davis County Sheriff’s Office and Kaysville responded, some searching the parking lot while others walked the interior of the mall, Dixon said.
