BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful Police released a statement prohibiting anyone from reserving space for the upcoming Handcart Days Parade prior to a.m. on Tuesday, July 23.

The parade will start that evening at 6 p.m. and the route is on Main Street between 1500 South and 400 North.

If you ignore the rule, your property could be confiscated by the police. In that case, you can find your property at the police statsion at 805 S. Main by the southeast corner of the building.

Candy and other items thrown from floats will be allowed this year, according to the statement. They ask parents to watch their children.

“Please help us keep your children away from the parade participants,” the statement reads. “Spectators should not encroach into the travel lanes of the roadway to pick up candy and toys. Each year we have small children running up to floats and parade entrants trying to collect these items.”
