WEST BOUNTIFUL —A Bountiful woman who is five months pregnant was arrested on Monday, Dec. 3, after a shopper allegedly saw her and a man inside a car at Lowe's parking lot "injecting themselves with something," according to West Bountiful Police Chief Todd Hixon.

Amanda Mecham, 27, and Robert Minchey, 21, of Woods Cross, were booked into the Davis County Jail on multiple drug charges.

The shopper didn't know what the pair were injecting themselves with, Hixon said, and added that police receive a lot of calls about suspicious activity. “I don't know that I'd call it unusual for someone to call us," Hixon said.

Mecham was booked into the Davis County Jail on two counts of possession of heroin and three counts of narcotic equipment. Minchey was also booked on two counts of possession of heroin and four counts of narcotic equipment.
