LAYTON – Dinners by Diana, which has outlasted countless competitors as a place to get freshly prepared meals to take home and cook, has moved.
The Layton eatery has also expanded, since moving to 1095 N. Main, Suite 6.
The restaurant now serves lunch, focusing on a variety of sandwiches, as well as continuing to prepare a large variety of complete meals.
Those wanting to order a single size of the traditional meals should call ahead and it will be ready. Or, if a group wants to eat together, a small, medium or large meal can be heated up, said owner Diana McDonald.
“We want people to taste the difference that home-made makes,” McDonald said.
The menu of dinner-type meals ranges from pork loins over scalloped potatoes to barbecue ribs, which have always been the most popular item on the menu, she said.
“We are doing more ‘skinny meals,’ or those that are really healthy, for people who want to watch their weight or who have health conditions,” McDonald said.
The eatery offers a variety of soups in the fall and winter, from clam chowder to vegetable. It will focus more on salads starting in April.
