Rec center makes big splash

FAMILIES SPLASH in the new South Davis Recreation Center's lazy river Saturday, during a pre-opening event for charter members. Mayors and county dignitaries toured the facility Friday. By 5 a.m. Monday, the center's official opening day, the parking lot was jammed and all exercise equipment was in full use. Monday night festivities included a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the Davis County Clipper High School Hockey All-Star Games.
