SALT LAKE CITY  – Reservations should be made early for the “Pioneer Christmas: A Time for Celebration,” at the LDS Church History Museum on Dec, 7 at 1 and 4 p.m.

This interactive, family program will again feature pioneer stories, games, dancing, music and songs that would have been part of a 19th century Mormon Pioneer Christmas celebration, including a visit from Father Christmas, according to a museum press release.

It is being co-sponsored by the Pioneer Heritage Company, a living history organization for families founded in 1998 and dedicated to authentically preserving the pioneer lifestyle and material culture.

Those with reservations will be seated first, followed by those in a standby line.

The Church History Museum is located at 45 N. West Temple, Free parking will be available behind the museum, 119 W. North Temple.
