S. Davis starts fall cleanup efforts next week

BOUNTIFUL — Fall cleanup efforts are underway throughout South Davis, and cities are gearing up to help residents get old branches, broken applicances and other summer waste out.The Bountiful cleanup starts Monday, Oct. 8 and lasts through Friday, Oct. 12 on regular garbage pick-up days. Place items, including applicances, on the park strip or drive approach by 7 a.m.Bountiful will also conduct a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City’s Maintenance Facility at 950 S. 200 West.In Woods Cross, you can take non-hazardous garbage to the City Shop at 1490 S. Redwood Road between Oct. 6 to 13. Youcan take green waste to the Bountiful Landfill on those days, as well. There will be no extra pick-up.In Centerville, you can pay the city $20 to pick up 3 cubic feet of fall garbage on October 13th at 6 a.m. Registration is due by Thursday, Oct. 11.In Farmington, an extra garbage pickup will be done for all black cans on Oct. 13, so long as the cans are placed at the curb by 6 a.m.
