BOUNTIFUL С High school seniors who can demonstrate character, leadership and service are encouraged to apply for a Daniels Scholarship before the Nov. 29 deadline.

The scholarship is supplemental to all other financial aid resources, according to a press release. After other financial resources have been applied, it covers all required tuition and fees at any nonprofit college or university in the United States. In addition, it also covers room and board, books and other miscellaneous expenses. Students also receive a laptop computer and printer.

“In establishing the Daniels Scholarship, cable pioneer Bill Daniels wanted to seek out outstanding young people who possess tremendous strength of character, the passion to succeed, a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to giving back to the community,” said Linda Childears, president and CEO of the Daniels Fund.

The scholarship is offered to students who are U.S. citizens in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. Each year, approximately 250 are accepted out of the thousands who apply.

More information is available at DanielsFund.org/Apply.
