KAYSVILLE  -- After ten years of hard work, the Youth of Promise will dedicate their memorial to the victims and survivors of the attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001 in New York City and Washington, D.C.

The memorial is in the Utah State Botanical Gardens, 920 S. 50 West in Kaysville, and the dedication ceremony will begin at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11.

A motorcade of the Patriot Guard will start the event, and Utah media icon Spencer Kinard will narrate a program. The event will include performances by the Davis High School marching band, Scott Waite, Noel Poe, Jennifer Taylor and Doris Hart.

Maj. Gen. Brian Tarbet will speak, as will a spokesperson from the office of Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah. Tarbet and Bishop are co- sponsors of Davis County Youth of Promise.

Tarbet will cut the ribbon on the memorial, which will then be opened to the public.
