BOUNTIFUL — The National Weather Service predicts rain and thunder tonight, but the South Davis area could see snow on Tuesday.

Precipitation is forecast with an 80 percent likelihood, but the service predicts that snow won’t stick to the ground.

The likelihood of snow drops to 50 percent by Wednesday, but temperatures are expected to drop below freezing that night. Snow could continue through the weekend, and snow could start sticking by Thursday. Daytime temperatures are expected to stay below 50 through Sunday.
