SUNSET — An 85-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene following an auto-pedestrian accident that happened just after 7 a.m. Monday morning.
The man was crossing Main Street near 2300 North when he was hit by a full-sized pickup truck, said Sunset Police Det. Bruce Arbogast. Police believe the man was trying to get to a bus stop.
The man’s name will not be released until family members are notified, Arbogast said, but he confirmed the man was a Sunset resident.
Police are still investigating the accident. No citations have been issued.
