SYRACUSE - Police say a Syracuse Dairy Queen was robbed by a gunman late Tuesday night.
According to a release from Syracuse Police spokesperson Officer Erin Behm, the robbery took place at approximately 10:30 pm inside the Dairy Queen located at 901 West 1700 South.
Police say the suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at the clerk, and demanded money from the register. The suspect then left the business and ran southeast through the parking lot.
Police described the suspect as an adult Hispanic male, 5’6” tall, wearing a black/yellow/red beanie cap, dark sweatpants, and a black athletic style jacket. Investigators said the suspect was also wearing sunglasses and a black bandana to obscure his face.
Behm said officers from surrounding agencies responded quickly to assist with setting up a perimeter, and that the Syracuse Police Department is working with businesses in the area to review surveillance footage.
