BOUNTIFUL — The successful “Taste of the Town — North” event, which took place July 24 at Layton Commons Park, is having another event for residents in south Davis County.
“Taste of the Town — South,” an event sponsored by the Davis Chamber of Commerce, is being held next Wednesday, Aug. 5, on 100 South Main Street in Bountiful in conjunction with the annual International Street Dance sponsored by the Davis Arts Center.
The dance event will start the festivities for the day.
“Summerfest is a long-standing tradition for Davis County residents; now we are thrilled to add the opportunity to sample great food as part of the opening evening’s line-up,” said Davis Chamber CEO John Pitt. “Everyone loves delicious food and live music. Now they can enjoy it with an international flair right on Main Street.”
Some of the participating restaurants in the event include Chipotle Grill, El Matador, The Mandarin, The Mikado, Plates and Palates and Sego Lily Cafe. Each restaurant will provide samples from its menu as the day continues. The event itself is free; however, tickets are required ($1 per ticket or 12 tickets for $10) in order to taste restaurant samplings.
The restaurants will also be providing patrons with a 15 percent discount coupon that can be used from August 6-31.
