WOODS CROSS — The Utah Safety Council is warning drivers to be especially careful during the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, a holiday it calls the most deadly time of year.
The risk is partly due to the high rate of travel С 90 percent of all residents will ride in cars, according to a press release from the council.
Meanwhile, the AAA Fuel Gauge Report found that Utah’s average gas prices are the sixth-highest in the nation. Only Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii and New York have higher prices.
The average price in Utah for a gallon of regular gasoline dropped 4 cents from last month’s AAA report on October 9 to $3.71, according to a press release from the organization. As of Tuesday, Nov. 13, prices had dropped in all cities in the study.
