BOUNTIFUL — A local senator and two representatives will hold a constituents meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Bountiful library at 725 S. Main Street.

Rep. Jim Nielson, R-Bountiful, Rep. Becky Edwards, R-North Salt Lake and Sen. Todd Weiler, R-Woods Cross plan to attend the 7 p.m. meeting, according to an email from Edwards.

The elected officials have not announced any potential topics, but are likely to discuss issues relating to the 2013 legislative session, which begins Jan. 28.

Weiler has proposed bills regarding helmet requirements for motorcycle riders, a new “In God We Trust” license plate option and more.

Nielson has discussed sponsoring a bill that would make changes to adoption records and a bill that would drop the requirement for legislators to vote regardless of conflict of interest concerns.
