BOUNTIFUL — Two motorcyclists were taken to the University of Utah Medical Center with lacerations to their upper arms, road rash and bruises following a crash that happened Saturday about 4 p.m. on I-15 near 400 North in Bountiful.
Two motorcycles, traveling together, were northbound on I-15 when the lead motorcycle slowed.
The rear motorcycle, carrying a 24-year-old man driver and a 24-year-old woman, didn’t slow and collided with the lead motorcycle, according to a Utah Highway Patrol press release. The male and female on the second bike fell into the lead bike and both had an arms wedged between the rear tire and frame of the lead bike.
Both the man and woman on the rear bike were injured. The woman was wearing a helmet, but the man wasn’t. The driver of the front motorcycle was wearing a helmet and was not injured.
