It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to our beloved mother and grandmother Ann Gallagher. She passed quietly at her home in North Salt Lake on December 22, 2012 surrounded by her family.
Vernice “Ann” Gallagher was born May 23, 1941 in Logan, the daughter of Joseph Wesley and Ann Izatt Johnson. Married Boyde Gallagher, July 18, 1959.
Ann worked many years in accounting and retired from Alan Frank and Associates as Director of Accounting.
Her beautiful sense of style and class reflected not only in herself but her home as well. She always made the world a more beautiful place. She had a love of contemporary art and furniture, with a great eye for color. She used her talents in this area as a generous way to give to others. She made beautiful quilts that she donated to friends, family and many fundraisers. She loved hosting and planning parties and events.
Ann loved the years spent camping and boating with family and friends. She loved going on cruises and traveling with her husband. Her more recent travels to Wendover with John were especially fun.
Ann is survived by her children; Cathy Sullivan (Lynn), Sherry Bushnell (Steve), and Boyd Lance Gallagher; five grandchildren, Nikki Anderson (Jeff), Jarod Zoellner (Jennifer), Kelli Sullivan, Jesse Bushnell (Heather), Paige Bushnell and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Karleen Griffin and a brother Wendell Johnson. Preceded in death by her husband Boyde Gallagher and brothers Omar and Wesley Johnson.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Regina Klein and her loving staff as well as the compassionate services of the Staff at Rocky Mt. Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 East where friends may visit with family on Thursday, Dec. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.
