Boys basketball:
Olympus 71, Layton 46: The Layton Lancers dropped a 71-46 decision to the Olympus Titans on Tuesday night. The Titans outscored the Lancers 39-15 in the first and third quarters combined. Kellan Christen-sen was the only Lancer in double figures, with 10 points. Shaun Green led the Titans with a game-high 29 points in the Lancers (1-4) second straight loss.
Clearfield 56, Skyline 55: The Clearfield Falcons remain undefeated on the season following a 56-55 win over the Skyline Eagles on Tuesday. Jason Martin hit a three-pointer with time running out to lift the Falcons (5-0) to victory. Martin led the Falcons with 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Blake Sims added 12 points in the win.
Mountain Crest 53, North-ridge 49: The Northridge Knights fell to the Mountain Crest Mustangs 53-49 on Tuesday night. Andrew Jordan led the Knights (2-2) with a team-high 16 points, including two three-pointers.
Girls basketball:
Layton 51, Bonneville 32: The Layton Lancers continued their winning ways after a 51-32 win over the Bonneville Lakers on Tuesday. Jessica Carver led the Lancers with a game-high 15 points. Katie King and Dani-elle McDonald both tossed in 12 points apiece for the Lancers (5-0). Layton held the Lakers to single-digit scoring in each quarter.
Roy 61, Northridge 51: The Northridge Knights lost to the Roy Royals 61-51 on Tuesday. Katie Casteel had 12 points in the loss for the Knights (1-4).
