LAYTON — Tours of a $39.5 million facility completed at Weber State University’s Davis Campus will follow a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The facility includes 120,146 square feet of classrooms, a food court and book store, plus space for recreation and events.

It will also provide a permanent home to the charter school, Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering & Science (NUAMES), according to a press release from the university.

Courses in nursing, interior design, electronics engineering and construction management will be offered in the Layton campus building, 2750 University Park Blvd.

“Plenty of students will receive all or part of their education at WSU Davis,” said the release. “Beginning fall semester, WSU Davis will offer 17 full degrees and certificates at the associate, bachelor’s and master’s levels, meaning students can complete all their coursework in one location.”
