WOODS CROSS -- The Woods Cross High School Music Department recently returned from the Heritage Musical Festival in San Diego. During the festival, the students competed against 40 schools from across the country and were able to win many awards. The department won three top awards, including the overall category, vocal category and instrumental category. Individual groups were also awarded with gold medals, including the Concert Chorale, Madrigals, Women's Choir, String Orchestra, Chamber Or-chestra, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. The Men's Choir was awarded with a silver medal. Nearly half of the Woods Cross student body participates in the music department.
