WOODS CROSS — A 15-year-old Woods Cross High student suffered a minor cut to his leg after falling 30 feet onto the school’s stage Tuesday at 11:45 a.m.

The student was on the stage in the auditorium. He was lowering a lighting system that was connected to a rope, Bassett said. As he was lowering the lights, the counter-balance broke, causing the lights to drop to the stage and the student to be lifted in the air approximately 30 feet. From that height, he let go of the rope and fell.

The boy was taken to Primary Children’s Medical Center for further evaluation.
