BOUNTIFUL — Fees for South Davis Water District customers will increase at a rate of $1.50 a month for culinary water for residential customers and an average of $2 a month for irrigation for an average-sized property.
Increased fees from customers in Bountiful, parts of Davis County, North Salt Lake and Woods Cross will bring $150,000 in additional funding. Most of the increase will pay for capital improvements, said District Manager Jake Ferguson. Those improvements will not include underground brass pipes, as previously reported in the Clipper.
The district voted on the increase after a public hearing in mid-December. No one from the public attended the hearing, Ferguson said.
The fee increase will bring bimonthly culinary water bills from $28 to $31.
