WEST BOUNTIFUL — After weeks of searching, the West Bountiful mayor and city council have announced that their new city manager will be Duane Huffman.
Huffman has been the city manager of Kanab since 2010.
City leaders are confident that Duane is a dedicated professional with the experience and qualities that will best serve the interests of West Bountiful,” said Mayor Ken Romney in a press release. Huffman will start on August 6.
Beyond his work in Kanab, Huffman has worked as legislative liaison for the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Arizona Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting.
During his studies at BYU for a master’s degree in public administration, Huffman served internships in Centerville, Farmington and West Point.
“My family and I are very excited to return to the Davis County area,” Huffman said in the release. “It is an honor and very humbling to be selected to serve the wonderful residents and businesses in West Bountiful.”
