WOODS CROSS - Woods Cross City is asking residents who may be interested in serving on the city council to apply for a vacancy created when former council member Rick Earnshaw won the mayor’s race.
The council will be accepting applications until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16.
All interested applicants should submit a letter of intent and resume to City Recorder Alan Low at 1555 S. 800 West, Woods Cross, 84087, according to Gary Uresk, Woods Cross city manager.
Applicants will be interviewed by the city council and the vacancy filled at the Jan. 21 city council meeting.
Applicants must be a United States citizen, be a registered voter, and must have resided in the city for 12 consecutive months prior to Jan. 21.
