WOODS CROSS – investigators say a fire at Woods Cross home early Monday morning was intentionally set.

South Davis Metro Fire Chief Jeff Bassett told the Clipper that the small fire at 1000 South 1100 West was reported at 2:45 a.m.

When crews arrived they discovered a small blaze burning at the rear of the carport area of the home.

Bassett said crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, but could see no obvious cause.

According to Bassett, fire investigators and police were called to investigate, an they found probable cause to arrest Brittany Ann Sessions on one count of aggravated arson. Bassett said Sessions is a resident of the home.

Sessions also faces a public intoxication and criminal mischief charge.

Bassett said the fire caused $3,000 in damage, and that no one was hurt.
