Join Chamber for annual breakfast

KAYSVILLE — Our May Legislative Affairs Committee Meeting will held Friday, May 15 from 7:30-9 a.m. in the Davis Business Alliance Building in Kaysville.

This is our annual Legislative Breakfast in which we give our elected officials the opportunity to report back to us on the results of the 2009 Legislative Session. It also gives us the chance to discuss with them the impact of our positions and to plan ahead for an even more effective year and session in 2010. Please plan now to attend.

NUBES summit today

LAYTON — Northern Utah Business leaders are being called forward.

Today is the day that has been set for the Northern Utah Business and Economic Summit (NUBES).

The NUBES summit will be held at the Weber State University Davis Campus located in Layton and will run from 8-3 p.m.

Chamber part of two ribbon cuttings

DAVIS COUNTY — On Wednesday, the Davis Chamber of Commerce, along with Chamber Lakesiders, took part in a pair of ribbon cutting events.

The first was at Life Care Center in Bountiful. They are the newest Executive Circle members and are just beginning their Chamber interaction.

They are a key community player in South Davis and are expected to be very active in their future Chamber participation and support.

The second was at Ed Kenley Ford in Layton. Jewel Lee Kenley was a part of the event and is well aware of the long-time support of the Chamber and many other great community efforts.

CASH Expo helping people conserve

DAVIS COUNTY — Residents from Davis County are being given the chance to attend a free expo.

The expo, called “The Utah Credit and Savings Help” expo, is being held next Friday, May 15 at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy.

Some of the special features of the event will cover how to catch and avoid money scams, building a spending plan, financial preparedness and home ownership.

Other topics covered include purchasing a foreclosed home, saving for a child’s education, finding a career, taxes 101 and 410(k), among others.

Zeppe’s grand opening a success

LAYTON — Zeppe’s, an Italian water ice eatery, held its grand opening event Saturday to a crowd of interested onlookers.

Their ribbon cutting ceremony capped off a successful day of events for the newly opened establishment as they served free Italian water ice to all who attended the event.

The address to Zeppe’s is 1095 N. Main Street in Layton.
