LDS hymn books to be revised

If you’ve got a hymn in your heart, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wants to hear about it. Church leaders announced recently that “Hymns” and “Children’s Songbook” will both be revised. Members are invited to submit their original hymns for consideration. The song books, both of which are used in worship services, will be revised so that both volumes can be translated and used worldwide. No national anthems will be included. Up to five completed songs, instrumentals or lyrics can be submitted per individual to newmusic.lds.org. The deadline for submission is July 1, 2019.
