Get an inside look at one of the most well-known choirs in the world.
Wendy Flanders, a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will speak at the February dinner held by the Centerville chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. The dinner will be Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wight House in Bountiful.
“She will be sharing some of the wonderful experiences she’s had with the choir,” said Brent Schick, president of the Centerville chapter.
Flanders, a Centerville resident, auditioned for and joined the choir in 2013. Though she reminds people that she’s not a spokesperson for the choir, she said that she always loves to share her experiences and that being a part of the choir has been a huge blessing in her life.
When she’s not with the choir, Flanders works as a violin and voice instructor. She and her husband Ferrin have four children and 11 grandchildren.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, but those who are interested in taking part in the dinner need to call ahead and make financial arrangements.
