Worldwide devotional for young adults set for Jan. 14

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Harriet Uchtdorf, will speak at a worldwide devotional for young adults on Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. The Uchtdorfs will be speaking on the adventure of mortality.

“Think of how you felt when for the first time you believed and understood that you are truly a child of God; that Jesus Christ willingly suffered for your sins so that you may be clean again; that priesthood power is real and can bind you to your loved ones for time and for all eternity; that there is a living prophet on the earth today,” said Elder Uchtdorf in a 2016 General Conference talk. “Isn’t that wonderful and amazing?”

The broadcast will originate in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will be transmitted live on the Church satellite system, LDS.org, YouTube, and other media.

All young adults who would like to attend in person are invited to the Conference Center to watch the devotional and join in the associated activities on Temple Square. Tickets are not required.

Shortly after the live event, there will be a recording of the devotional archived on devotionals.lds.org and on the Gospel Library app, which you can stream or download at any time.

The worldwide devotional will be proceeded by activities and social sharing. To participate, members and friends ages 18 to 30 are invited to share positive messages on their favorite social media with the hashtags #ShareGoodness and #LDSdevo.
