Golf tourney raises over $36K for Davis Tech

BOUNTIFUL–Davis Technical College (Davis Tech) Foundation hosted its Annual Golf Tournament on June 27, at Bountiful Ridge Golf Course. The tournament brought together golfers, Davis Tech Foundation members, and corporate sponsors to enjoy a game of golf and raise money. The golf tournament is the Foundation’s major annual event. This year’s total of $36,000 raised will go toward scholarships for Davis Tech students.

The golfers enjoyed breakfast provided by Chick-Fil-A and co-sponsored by The Lincoln Electric Co. and Kroger. Texas Roadhouse provided lunch, with Admiral Beverage and Davis Hospital and Medical Center as co-sponsors. Other sponsors included Murdock Chevrolet (Woods Cross), Utah Grizzlies, Hughes General Contractors, America First Credit Union, Bank of American Fork, Barlow Corporation, Ed Kenley Ford, Goldenwest Credit Union, Gramoll Construction, Hexcel, Holly Frontier, Tanner Clinic, Texas Roadhouse, and VLCM.

“Each year the Foundation Golf tournament raises funds for student scholarships at Davis Technical College,” says Marcie Valdez, Davis Technical College Foundation director. “More than 40 students will benefit from the gift of education because of this event. We are so grateful to our sponsors and participants for the life changing opportunities their support will create for so many.”
