Davis was without a star player last week and went 1-1 with a win over Layton and a loss to Weber, while Bountiful and Viewmont both lost matches as the squads look to begin region play.

Davis’ Olivia Watts was injured in practice with a severely sprained ankle and was out of action for the Darts in a loss to Weber and win over Layton.

On Sept. 11, Davis lost to Weber 25-19, 25-15, 23-25, 25-23. The Darts were led by Katie Corelli with 19 kills and 11 digs. Lexi Sunderland recorded 28 digs to lead Davis defensively.

Against Layton on Sept. 13, Davis won 25-21, 20-25, 25-23, 25-16. Corelli’s 16 kills and 21 digs again led Davis while Sunderland picked up 27 digs.

The Darts are 11-8 on the season.

Bountiful lost to Skyridge 26-24, 25-17, 25-14 on Sept. 11.

“We are excited to be finished with our very tough preseason schedule and move into region play,” head coach Sarah Chism said.

Viewmont lost to Morgan in straight sets 25-20, 25-9, 25-8 on Sept. 13.

The Vikings are now 4-9 on the year.
