SOUTH JORDAN — The Davis High Darts basketball team had the Bingham Miners on the ropes Friday night in South Jordan.

But in the second and third quarter, the Darts were outscored 36-23 and ended up falling 60-47.

In the first and fourth quarters, the Darts matched Bingham point for point, tying the Miners with 11 and 13 points in those quarters.

But the Darts only scored nine points in the second quarter, and coming out of the half were outscored again by six points after the third quarter of play.

The 13 point difference between the two quarters proved to be the difference in the game, as the Darts fell by that many points in the end.

For Davis, Riley Watts scored 13 points and added six rebounds to his totals for the night. Teammate Drake Turner added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Darts.

Jordan Phouthavong of Bingham had a game high 15 points, with teammates Brad Clark and Sean Larsen also scoring in double figures with 12 and 10 points respectively.

The Darts will open Region 1 play against Weber at home Tuesday night.
