This year’s program’s theme is “Helping You Make a Difference,” and is open to nonprofit organizations all across the state.
The University of Utah says the program recognizes how much people do rely on nonprofit organizations, and how much those organizations need extra funding.
“We all know that with these challenging times, we are going to be required to do more with less,” said professional education at the University of Utah director, Anne E. O’Brien.
Companies involved as sponsors include American Express, CBIZ Mayer Hoffman McCann, Continuing Education at the University of Utah, LTC.Francis E. and Joal L. Memorial Scholarship, The Park City Foundation, Pathway Associates, US Bank, Utah Arts Council and Wells Fargo.
The nonprofit academy focuses on a demand of excellence, teaching nonprofit organizational and management skills, partnerships and fresh ideas for programs. Four professional certificates are offered including fund development, human resources management, leadership and management and financial management.
Certificates can be awarded by attending classes or participating in the self- directed study program.
