set for Woods Cross
WOODS CROSS--The city's annual Spring cleanup will be April 8-15.
This year, the cleanup will be held on the same day as residents' usual garbage pick-up. A maximum of one load will be allowed per household.
As in years past, material picked up by the city's public works department will be limited to yard waste and debris, household products, furnishings (mattresses, carpets, cabinets, doors, etc.) and metal items which can be recycled. Refrigerators and freezers must have the freon and compressors removed.
Materials which won't be accepted for curbside pick-up include household waste, liquid or chemical waste, hazardous waste products, building debris, tires, pallets and railroad ties.
Those taking advantage of the service should have the items on the park strip no later than 8 a.m. on the pick-up day. Crews will go through the area only once. A 50-pound maximum weight limit is allowed.
All materials must be separated by chipping material (limbs and branches), boxed, bagged or bundled yard waste and bundled limbs and metal items.
For more information on the clean-up, call Woods Cross City at 292-4421 or look on the city's Website at www.woodscross.com.
